THE PATTERN
This is the 6th generation of our universally loved and trusted bib short. With all the features of the classic Pedalare bib shorts that people have come to love, but fitted with significant updates. We worked tirelessly with our pattern makers to improve what was already a great fit. We shaped the panels to get an even better on bike feel, and strategically placed the seams to contour the shape of the skeletal muscle system.
THE GRIPPER
We have updated the grippers to our own proprietary high quality 4.5cm microfibre elastic tape, comfortable, functional and extremely good looking. Batch dyed to perfectly match the base fabric colour.
THE FABRIC
We have worked closely with the best fabric mills throughout Europe and replaced the previous fabrics with a highly compressive light weight circular knit fabric out of Italy. This fabric needs to be felt to be believed. Weighing only 185gsm, it is light, breathable and soft. It offers great piling resistance and excellent UV protection. The high elastane content and the nature of the knit allows for unparalleled compression.
THE BRACE STRAPS
The feel of our braces has always been a little novel from the get-go. A feeling of not being there, no force on the shoulder. We have, however found a very similar tape that has a softer hand feel and has a greater elastic memory, meaning the durability will increase.
THE PAD
Our beloved pad remains the same, offering comfort for over 7 hours in the saddle. We selected this pad because of the flexibility that it provides. It simply fits many different body types while offering ultra-high-density inserts. The top laminate is anti-bacterial, anti-chaffing, while the entire pad is proliferated for increased airflow. We are a science based company, and no other pad company has done the research like Elastic interface. Only the best, no compromise.
